Where the facts come from
Every article and every visiting guide starts from the institution’s own announcement — a press release, a notice, or its visitor-information page. We link the detail page, never a list page, so you can see exactly what we read. Anything with a number or a date in it is confirmed against at least two pages before it is published, and the date of that check is printed on the page.
We write, we do not repost
Summaries, editorial notes and article bodies are written in our own words. Reposting an institution’s text would add nothing that the original does not already say, and would be a copy of a page that is already indexed. In Korean we allow at most one directly quoted sentence per article. In English we do not use quotations at all: a sentence translated out of a Korean press release is a paraphrase wearing quotation marks, and presenting it as a quote would be dishonest.
How the English pages relate to the Korean ones
An English article is the Korean one in English, with a section added for you. A fact is verified once and shared between both languages — the same opening hours, the same fee, the same closing days, with an automated check that fails the build if the two ever disagree on a number or drift apart after a re-verification. The photographs, the tables and the order of the story are the same, so nothing that a Korean reader is told is quietly left out of the English page.
On top of that, English pages carry what a resident never has to ask: the route in, whether the booking system will accept a foreign phone number or card, and an honest account of how much English signage, audio guide and docent provision you will actually find. That part is written, not translated. Nothing here is machine-translated and published unread.
What we will not publish
- A page with nothing verified on it. An institution with no confirmed visiting information gets a directory row and an outbound link, not a page of its own.
- Padding written to make a thin entry look like an article.
- A fee, a date or a capacity figure sourced from a single page, or from another aggregator rather than the institution.
- An image whose licence we cannot establish. Photographs are used only under a stated open licence (KOGL Type 1, CC0 or CC BY), always with the credit next to them, and are referenced at their original URL rather than copied onto our servers.
Advertising and independence
This site carries advertising, marked as such. No institution pays for coverage, and no coverage decision is influenced by advertising. We are not affiliated with any of the institutions described here.
Corrections
Institutions change their hours and prices, and we get things wrong. If you find an error, write to negunde123@gmail.com. We check it against the official page, fix it, and record that it was corrected and when. Who writes this and on what basis is set out on the about page; image and data licensing is set out under sources.
